Alyssa Koehl

Alyssa grew up in New Braunfels, Texas where she played volleyball at Canyon High School. During the 2020 season her high school team advanced to the Regional Finals. In 2021, they played at the state tournament where they finished 3rd for 5A schools in Texas. Alyssa also played club volleyball at Ignite for 8 seasons. Currently, Alyssa is in her senior year at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas as a libero/DS. This will be her fourth season as a head coach. Prior to being a head coach, Alyssa served as an assistant to the 11s team at Ignite alongside her mother Michelle Koehl, who has been a coach for over 20 years. Alyssa is currently finishing up her student teaching and will graduate in May with plans to teach and coach at the high school level.
