Cayla Kohnert
Cayla Kohnert was born and raised in McAllen, TX where she attended and played volleyball at McAllen High School (2016) and Valley Sting Volleyball Club. Cayla started coaching club her junior year of high school alongside her dad.
Cayla went to Texas A&M University Corpus Christi where she coached at Corpus Christi Force all 4 years. She graduated in 2020 with a BA in Psychology and a BS in Criminal Justice before going on to the University of New Haven for a Masters in Investigations. Cayla was a financial crimes analyst for 4 years before being called in a new direction.
Cayla is now a History and English Teacher at Bracken Christian School in Bulverde where she is also the Head Middle School Volleyball Coach.
Cayla started coaching at Ignite in 2020 and is very excited for her 5th season with us! .
