Shaunna Teuton
Shaunna Teuton served as the Bracken Christian School’s Varsity Coach for six seasons. While there, she led her team to two State Championships and two other Final Four appearances. She has been nominated to the TAPPS All Star Coaching Staff twice and selected to work with very talented girls from all over the state of Texas—many of them going on to play in college. Coach Teuton has helped many athletes prepare for their next level of play and has seen many of her own athletes continue their athletic career through college.
Shaunna then transitioned to New Braunfels Christian Academy where she served in the Athletic Department, overseeing the various sports programs, and coached Middle School Volleyball. The Wildcats won the Independent School Athletic League Championship. This transition gave her more time to invest in Ignite and see that the girls of the Hill Country area are being challenged in volleyball and ministered to in life.
For the past two years Shaunna started the Living Rock Academy volleyball program and in the school's second year they made worked their way to the State Tournament Final Four (2016). She was named TAPPS Female Coach of the Year (2016-2017).
Teuton played at Wingate University in North Carolina, a solid Division II program that earns a slot every year in the NCAA Elite Eight and was coached by Shelton Collier who regularly coaches the USAV Olympic Pipeline girls and has been named the Division II Coach of the Year several times. Shaunna led her team in many categories such as kills, kills/game, digs and serve receive. She also accumulated many All Tournament and All Conference honors. Under Shaunna's leadership, Ignite went from a one team organization to serving approximately 120+ families.
Shaunna is married to Scott and has four children, Ashton (13), Eli (10) and Charlotte (7) and Rhett (3). Coach Teuton specializes in Outside Hitters, Defense, and training Setters of all ages and skill sets.
