Kaitlin Molenda
Kaitlin (Boyd) Molenda grew up in Cypress, Texas and moved to Lakeland, Florida in high school. She attended George Jenkins High School winning 2 district championships, 1 regional championship, and a state final 4 appearance. Kaitlin earned First Team All-Conference honors both her junior and senior years.
After high school, Kaitlin played for St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida. Kaitlin was a 2-year captain, earning First Team All-Conference honors both years, and the Female Athlete of the Year Award her sophomore year. In 2016, Kaitlin transferred to Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida as a 2-year captain her junior and senior years. While at SEU Kaitlin’s awards included NAIA Scholar Athlete, First Team All-Sun Conference, Academic All-Sun Conference, CoSIDA Academic All-District, AVCA All-Region, and AVCA All-American. At the conclusion of her senior season, Kaitlin was ranked 8th in the nation for her hitting percentage as an All-American middle blocker.
After her senior year, Kaitlin served as the assistant coach of the 2018 Southeastern University volleyball team. As assistant coach Kaitlin helped her team earn their first Sun-Conference regular season championship title with a 23-4 overall season record. This will be Coach Kaitlin’s 10th year coaching club volleyball. Previously coaching under the leadership of the head coaches for the University of South Florida (Division 1) and Florida Southern College (Division 2).
Since moving to New Braunfels, this will be Coach Kaitlin’s fifth season with Ignite. She is married to her husband Caleb with a precious son Luke! In addition to coaching, Kaitlin is a 5th grade teacher at Goodwin Frazier Elementary.
