Ashley Butcher
Ashley learned what her true passion was from an early age. She played volleyball all of her childhood years which included club volleyball in middle and high school for Alamo and Strikers. While at UTSA she played one season of college club before stepping out of her comfort zone and joined a sorority.
Ashley pursued her dream of becoming an elementary teacher after graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2012. She has always loved working with kids and helping them grow to become responsible humans.
Although teaching her students is enjoyable, she couldn’t help but remember her first love of volleyball and decided to become a coach in 2017. She wants to be a positive role model that students and athletes can trust and learn from. Ashley helped coach the 2021-2022 17 blaze and 2022-2023 18 blaze teams in earning back to back bids to nationals! She is super excited about her fifth year with Ignite!
