Paige West

Paige West (Bower) originally grew up in a small town Arizona, and then moved to New Braunfels, TX in 2009. She first started her volleyball journey back in 2013 when Hayley Antoniolli (currently head coach to 14 Blaze) was her first ever club coach. Paige gives much credit to Hayley for her found passion in volleyball and has continued playing since. She made Jv her freshman year and varsity the remaining 3 years of highschool. In 2016, Paige moved from canyon lake club and played for Ignite, their 17s national team under head coach- Coach Randall. Each year on varsity she made 2nd team all district and was just short of beating the seasonal blocking record by only 2 blocks her senior year. She also was voted offensive MVP by her team her senior year.

She then went to play at Temple College (D1 Juco) where she studied Psychology and was recruited as a utility player, but still practiced heavily in middle blocker. During the off season in 2020 she did her first ever coaching job as assistant coach to the 17 nationals team through Austin Performance Volleyball in Austin, TX, which unfortunately didn’t see the end of season due to the COVID-19 Outbreak.

After a break from volleyball and moving to Scottsdale, AZ with her husband Jonah , in fall 2023 she picked up coaching again for Ignite Volleyball Club at the AZ location. She was assistant to the 15’s Firestorm for the 2024 season, but also enjoyed the private lessons and helping other coaches teams. During that same season of coaching, she played for a semi-pro volleyball team called Phoenix Valor that was sponsored by Ignite Volleyball Club Phoenix. Towards the end of spring 2024, Paige found out they were expecting their first daughter so they moved back to TX in 2024 fall to start their family. Paige is very excited to get back into coaching these amazing girls and be surrounded by volleyball again.
