Kaitlin Molenda
Kaitlin Boyd grew up in Cypress, Texas and moved to Lakeland, Florida in high school. She attended George Jenkins High School and earned First Team All-Conference honors both her junior and senior years. After high school Kaitlin attended St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida. Kaitlin was a 2-year captain, and earned First Team All-Conference honors both years, and the Female Athlete of the Year Award her sophomore year.
Kaitlin transferred to Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida as a 2-year captain her junior and senior years. While at SEU Kaitlin’s awards included Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete, First Team All-Sun Conference, Academic All-Sun Conference, CoSIDA Academic All-District, AVCA All-Region, and NAIA-AVCA All-American. At the conclusion of her senior season, Kaitlin was ranked 8th in the nation for her hitting percentage as a middle blocker.
After her senior year, Kaitlin served as the assistant coach of the 2018 Southeastern University volleyball team. This will be Coach Kaitlin’s 5th year coaching club volleyball, previously coaching for clubs run by the head coaches of the University of South Florida and Florida Southern College.
This will be Coach Kaitlin’s fourth season with Ignite and is married to her husband Caleb with a precious son Luke! In addition to coaching, Kaitlin is a 5th grade teacher at Goodwin Frazier Elementary.
