SHAUNNA TEUTON - IGNITE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Shaunna Teuton served as the Bracken Christian School’s Varsity Coach for six seasons. While there, she led her team to two State Championships and two other Final Four appearances. She has been nominated to the TAPPS All Star Coaching Staff twice and selected to work with very talented girls from all over the state of Texas—many of them going on to play in college. Coach Teuton has helped many athletes prepare for their next level of play and has seen many of her own athletes continue their athletic career through college. Shaunna then transitioned to New Braunfels Christian Academy where she served in the Athletic Department, overseeing the various sports programs, and coached Middle School Volleyball. The Wildcats won the Independent School Athletic League Championship. This transition gave her more time to invest in Ignite and see that the girls of the Hill Country area are being challenged in volleyball and ministered to in life. For the past two years Shaunna started the Living Rock Academy volleyball program and in the school's second year they made worked their way to the State Tournament Final Four (2016). She was named TAPPS Female Coach of the Year (2016-2017). Teuton played at Wingate University in North Carolina, a solid Division II program that earns a slot every year in the NCAA Elite Eight and was coached by Shelton Collier who regularly coaches the USAV Olympic Pipeline girls and has been named the Division II Coach of the Year several times. Shaunna led her team in many categories such as kills, kills/game, digs and serve receive. She also accumulated many All Tournament and All Conference honors. Under Shaunna's leadership, Ignite went from a one team organization to serving approximately 120+ families. Shaunna is married to Scott and has three children, Ashton (12), Eli (9) and Charlotte (6) and Rhett (2). Coach Teuton specializes in Outside Hitters, Defense, and training Setters of all ages and skill sets.
JESSICA TULLY-MITCHELL - COACHING DIRECTOR & BLAZE COACH

Jessica was born and raised in New Mexico where she was part of the state championship volleyball team her senior year. She also lettered in basketball, track and rodeo, receiving numerous awards in all four sports. Jessica went on to play volleyball at McMurry University, basketball at Eastern New Mexico University and both basketball and volleyball at Austin College. She graduated from Delta State University with a B.A. in History and earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Texas San Antonio.
Jessica earned her personal training certification from the Cooper Institute. While coaching at Texas Lutheran University, Jessica was part of the staff who took the Lady Bulldogs to the semi-finals of the Lone Star Conference Championship. During her time at Comfort High School, she coached the volleyball team who went on to break the school win record, and were the Bi-District Champions and Area Champions. After moving to North Texas Jessica helped coach Denton Calvary Academy to back to back TAPPS State Volleyball Championships. While at Geneva School of Boerne, her team were the District and Area Champions and made the semi finals at state. Jessica helped coach Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial to the Regional Finals in 2018. She is currently the head coach at Boerne Champion High School. The Chargers are 2019 District Champions! Jessica and her husband Zac, who coaches football, have a daughter Charlie and son Tully.

MICHELLE KOEHL - blaze COACH

Michelle Koehl is currently an assistant volleyball coach at Canyon High School. She took some time off from coaching, but she is starting her 11th season as an assistant coach since 1999. She was fortunate to work closely with Heather Sanders and the Varsity Canyon Cougarettes over these years. During that time, Canyon advanced to the State Tournament in '99, '01, and '07. Coach Koehl has continued to be involved with youth volleyball over the years. Nearly every summer she helps with youth summer camps at Canyon HS, where she is currently teaching high school Math. Michelle is married to her husband Chad who is the head baseball and assistant football coach at Smithson Valley HS. They have two children, Alyssa (16) and Austin (11).
CASEY MENN - BLAZE COACH

Casey Menn is a graduate of San Antonio's Reagan High School volleyball program and participated in Alamo Volleyball Club. She graduated as a National Honor Society student with a full athletic scholarship to Angelo State University where she played volleyball for the ASU Rambelles. After graduating in 2006 with a Kinesiology Degree, she started coaching volleyball in 2007. She has coached volleyball at several schools including East Central Heritage Middle School, San Antonio Christian School, Bracken Christian School and Head Varsity Coach at Cornerstone Christian School during which she saw several runs going deep into the State Playoffs. Coach Menn has been with Ignite for four seasons and has seen success with her teams each year. Before Ignite, she came from South Texas Volleyball Academy where she coached all ages ranging from elementary to high school players. She is currently the Head Varsity Coach at Great Hearts Monte Vista.
KALYNNE ALLEN - BLAZE COACH & SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR

Coach Allen has recently been named the successor for Coach Shaunna Teuton at Living Rock Academy as the Varsity Volleyball Coach. She also has past experience coaching club volleyball and clinics for Alamo Volleyball Association, Waco Jrs. and Ignite. Allen played at Abilene Christian University where she served as a utility player filling the roles, of middle, setter, outside hitter, and right side hitter during here 4 year career. While there, Allen was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic team, First Team Capital One Academic All-District VI, and Lone Star Commissioner’s Honor Roll. In addition she ranked among the top of the Lone Star Conference in service aces. Before her college career, Allen transferred into Bracken Christian School for her junior and senior year of high school where she helped lead her team to two back-to-back state championships under the coaching of Shaunna Teuton. In addition, Allen was named 2 time 1st Team All-state, District MVP, All-area MVP, Academic All-state. During her club career at Alamo Volleyball Association, Allen was a part of the 2004 USA Junior Olympic silver medal 13K team and 2006 Bronze medal 15K team in the open division. Allen is the mother to her precious son Jaxson (3 years).
MEGAN DUGIE - BLAZE COACH

Megan Dugie grew up in China Grove, Texas. Dugie was a four-year letterman in softball and volleyball at East Central High School. After high school graduation in 2012, Dugie attended Texas Lutheran University where she was a four-year starter for the Lady Bulldog Volleyball Team. Her excellence on the court and in the classroom earned her numerous accolades including COSIDA All-American honors, SCAC conference All-Academic teams, First-Team All Conference and several SCAC defensive player of the week honors. Dugie was awarded TLU Female Athlete of the Year along with Scholar Athlete of the year as a senior. In addition, she ranked as top five DIII defensive specialists in the nation for digs per set. Dugie has over six years of coaching experience with various camps, clinics and club teams and is the defending state championship Varsity Head Volleyball Coach at New Braunfels Christian Academy.
JESSICA STETLER - BLAZE COACH

Jessica Stetler is currently an Operational Planner at USAA. She is licensed therapist on the side, focusing on children and family to create healthy homes and relationships. This is her eleventh year coaching club and has been involved a variety of camps and programs throughout the years.
She attended Winston Church High School and continued playing under Tiffany Davis at Texas Lutheran. Her team advanced to the regionals her freshman year and continued to be a competitive advisory throughout her years playing. This will be Jessica’s third year with Ignite!

ROBIN CONGER - blaze COACH

Robin Conger is currently the College and Career advisor at Canyon High School but has been a youth coach, a middle school coach, a high school coach and even spent two years coaching at her Alma Mater of the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Robin was a four-year starter as a defensive specialist and a captain at UMHB and was named an Academic-All American. Robin comes to Ignite with over twenty years of coaching and teaching experience and is super excited to coach at Ignite. She helped coach the Spark group last year. Robin and her husband, Brady, live in New Braunfels with their kids, Tye (18) and Mindy (16).
KAITLIN Molenda - ASSISTANT COACH

Kaitlin Boyd grew up in Cypress, Texas and moved to Lakeland, Florida in high school. She attended George Jenkins High School and earned First Team All-Conference honors both her junior and senior years. After high school Kaitlin attended St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida. Kaitlin was a 2-year captain, and earned First Team All-Conference honors both years, and the Female Athlete of the Year Award her sophomore year. Kaitlin transferred to Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida as a 2-year captain her junior and senior years. While at SEU Kaitlin’s awards included Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete, First Team All-Sun Conference, Academic All-Sun Conference, CoSIDA Academic All-District, AVCA All-Region, and NAIA-AVCA All-American. At the conclusion of her senior season, Kaitlin was ranked 8th in the nation for her hitting percentage as a middle blocker. After her senior year, Kaitlin served as the assistant coach of the 2018 Southeastern University volleyball team. This will be Coach Kaitlin’s 5thyear coaching club volleyball, previously coaching for clubs run by the head coaches of the University of South Florida and Florida Southern College. This will be Coach Kaitlin’s second season with Ignite and just married her husband Caleb in March! In addition to coaching, Kaitlin is a 5th grade teacher at Goodwin Frazier Elementary.
ASHLEY BUTCHER - ASSISTANT COACH

Ashley learned what her true passion was from an early age. She played volleyball all of her childhood years which included once club volleyball in middle and high school for Alamo and Strikers. Ashley persued her dream of becoming an elementary teacher after graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2012. She has always loved working with kids and helping them grow to become responsible humans. Although teaching her students is enjoyable, she couldn’t help but remember her first love of volleyball and decided to become a coach in 2017. She wants to be a positive role model that students and athletes can trust and learn from. She is super excited about being with Ignite this season!
SAMI SPRINGFIELD - ASSISTANT COACH

Sami was born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas. She is currently a teacher at Smithson Valley High School and resides in the Spring Branch area with her daughter Rylee.
She attended Canyon High School and continued to play under Tiffany Davis at Texas Lutheran. Sami earned ASC Volleyball All-Conference and All-Academic honors in her two years with the Bulldogs. Sami has been involved in camps and programs throughout the years. This is her second year as an assistant coach and she couldn’t be more excited!

Cayla Kohnert - ASSISTANT COACH
Cayla Kohnert was born and raised in McAllen, Texas where she attended and played volleyball at McAllen High School. In the spring of 2020, Cayla graduated from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi with a BA in Psychology and a BS in Criminal Justice and decided to plant her roots in San Antonio with her dog Maggie to be closer to her parents and older sister. She plans to start graduate school pursuing a MS in Investigations next year.
Cayla joined volleyball at a young age and quickly fell in love with the game. Her dad then created Valley Sting Volleyball where she spent the majority of her club volleyball career. Just as fast and she fell in love with the sport, she realized her love for teaching the game and began coaching her junior year of high school along side her dad coaching 12s and 16s, as well as many private lessons, camps, and clinics. She spent the last 3 seasons at Corpus Christi Force Volleyball throughout college where she was an assistant coach for the 17s, 12s with Jessica Tully-Mitchell, and 13s. This is Cayla’s first season with Ignite and she is extremely excited to be coaching with Coach Allen! |
Lindsey Carnett - Assistant Coach

Lindsey is a San Antonio native who fell in love with volleyball at just 9 years old. She played club from age 11 to 18 for Hornets and then Maverick, and played as a Outside or Libero from middle school through high school. Lindsey was on the 2011-2012 Johnson High School varsity team that took 3rd at State for 6A, as a defensive specialist. After graduating from high school, Lindsey pursued a degree in journalism from Texas A&M where she also played on the club team for a year and then played intermural‘s for three years. After graduating, moving back to San Antonio and getting married, Lindsey and her husband Kyle privately coached sand volleyball players as young as 8 years old in Spring Branch. Lindsey has served as a Young Life volunteer with West Comal County in the past, and currently also works with Big Brothers Big Sisters. She believes volleyball can teach kids valuable lessons both about life and about God. Lindsey works as a full time technology reporter for the San Antonio Report, but couldn’t say no to taking on an assistant coaching position with such a prestigious club as Ignite. Lindsey hopes to work hard with her girls this season and show them that a positive attitude and spirit can make all the difference. She is super excited about being with Ignite’s 13’s team!
Lauren Acuna - Blaze Coach

Lauren was born and raised in San Antonio, where her passion for volleyball started very young. Lauren started playing when she was 7, and quickly discovered her love for defense. Lauren played club from ages 11 to 18 for SA Maverick as a setter and a defensive specialist. She played as the libero in high school at Smithson Valley, before going on to play at Cameron University, a Division II college in Oklahoma. Lauren holds the school record for the most digs in a season, and also earned First-Team All Conference and All-Academic honors. She then was picked up by Division I college, where she unfortunately had to cut her own volleyball career short due to an injury. Now as a full-time realtor, Lauren has discovered her passion for coaching by previously coaching with SA Force and SA Magic. She is a strong believer in God and knows though Christ all things are possible. She is excited to be a part of Ignite this year and to spread the love of volleyball and God to her team.
FLoyd Love - HIGH PERFORMANCE COACH
Coach Floyd is a technical trainer and teaches the basic fundamentals of every skill, as well as high performance techniques for more advanced players in every position. He’s been coaching/training VB for about 15yrs. He took his first coaching accredited program at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. He also received a certification through the American Coaching Academy. He’s coached club on all levels from local to National teams. Currently, he is the VB Trainer at Love, VB LLC, and is the South Texas regional VB Power hitting trainer for Powercore360. He also coaches H.S. camps for Gold Medal Squared during the summer.
