SHAUNNA TEUTON - IGNITE founder & 18 blaze co-head coach

Shaunna Teuton served as the Bracken Christian School’s Varsity Coach for six seasons. While there, she led her team to two State Championships and two other Final Four appearances. She has been nominated to the TAPPS All Star Coaching Staff twice and selected to work with very talented girls from all over the state of Texas—many of them going on to play in college. Coach Teuton has helped many athletes prepare for their next level of play and has seen many of her own athletes continue their athletic career through college. Shaunna then transitioned to New Braunfels Christian Academy where she served in the Athletic Department, overseeing the various sports programs, and coached Middle School Volleyball. The Wildcats won the Independent School Athletic League Championship. This transition gave her more time to invest in Ignite and see that the girls of the Hill Country area are being challenged in volleyball and ministered to in life. For the past two years Shaunna started the Living Rock Academy volleyball program and in the school's second year they made worked their way to the State Tournament Final Four (2016). She was named TAPPS Female Coach of the Year (2016-2017). Teuton played at Wingate University in North Carolina, a solid Division II program that earns a slot every year in the NCAA Elite Eight and was coached by Shelton Collier who regularly coaches the USAV Olympic Pipeline girls and has been named the Division II Coach of the Year several times. Shaunna led her team in many categories such as kills, kills/game, digs and serve receive. She also accumulated many All Tournament and All Conference honors. Under Shaunna's leadership, Ignite went from a one team organization to serving approximately 120+ families. Shaunna is married to Scott and has four children, Ashton (13), Eli (10) and Charlotte (7) and Rhett (3). Coach Teuton specializes in Outside Hitters, Defense, and training Setters of all ages and skill sets.
KALYNNE Rogers - club director & blaze head coach

After coach JV and Varsity volleyball the past 5 seasons, Coach Kalynne has stepped away from school ball to fill the roll of Ignite's new Club Director! In addition TAPPS volleyball, Kalynne also has past experience coaching club volleyball and clinics for Alamo Volleyball Association, Waco Jrs. and Ignite. Kalynne played at Abilene Christian University where she served as a utility player filling the roles, of middle, setter, outside hitter, and right side hitter during here 4 year career. While there, Allen was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic team, First Team Capital One Academic All-District VI, and Lone Star Commissioner’s Honor Roll. In addition she ranked among the top of the Lone Star Conference in service aces. Before her college career, Kalynne transferred into Bracken Christian School for her junior and senior year of high school where she helped lead her team to two back-to-back state championships under the coaching of Shaunna Teuton. In addition, she was named 2 time 1st Team All-state, District MVP, All-area MVP, Academic All-state. During her club career at Alamo Volleyball Association, Kalynne was a part of the 2004 USA Junior Olympic silver medal 13K team and 2006 Bronze medal 15K team in the open division. Coach Rogers is married to her husband Chris and is the mother to her precious son Jaxson (5 years).
MEGAN DUGIE - High performance director

Megan Dugie grew up in China Grove, Texas. Dugie was a four-year letterman in softball and volleyball at East Central High School. After high school graduation in 2012, Dugie attended Texas Lutheran University where she was a four-year starter for the Lady Bulldog Volleyball Team. Her excellence on the court and in the classroom earned her numerous accolades including COSIDA All-American honors, SCAC conference All-Academic teams, First-Team All Conference and several SCAC defensive player of the week honors. Dugie was awarded TLU Female Athlete of the Year along with Scholar Athlete of the year as a senior. In addition, she ranked as top five DIII defensive specialists in the nation for digs per set. Dugie has over six years of coaching experience with various camps, clinics and club teams and has back-to-back state championships as the Varsity Head Volleyball Coach at New Braunfels Christian Academy.
JESSICA STETLER - BLAZE head COACH

Jessica grew up in San Antonio and played at Churchill High School. She continued her career at Texas Lutheran University where she was a four year started and named All American her sophomore and senior seasons. She was part of three ASC West Division title teams. She is 5th all-time career kills, fourth in digs per game, and fifth in careers per game. She was inducted into the Collegiate Hall of Fame for Texas Lutheran in October of 2021. She continued your education at Texas State where she completed her masters and passed her boards to be a Licensed Psychological Associate. She currently works at USAA for the design team focused on creating better experiences for their employees and members. Jessica has been coaching club for 14 years and is excited to kick off her fifth year with Ignite.
KAITLIN Molenda - Substitute coach

Kaitlin Boyd grew up in Cypress, Texas and moved to Lakeland, Florida in high school. She attended George Jenkins High School and earned First Team All-Conference honors both her junior and senior years. After high school Kaitlin attended St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida. Kaitlin was a 2-year captain, and earned First Team All-Conference honors both years, and the Female Athlete of the Year Award her sophomore year. Kaitlin transferred to Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida as a 2-year captain her junior and senior years. While at SEU Kaitlin’s awards included Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete, First Team All-Sun Conference, Academic All-Sun Conference, CoSIDA Academic All-District, AVCA All-Region, and NAIA-AVCA All-American. At the conclusion of her senior season, Kaitlin was ranked 8th in the nation for her hitting percentage as a middle blocker. After her senior year, Kaitlin served as the assistant coach of the 2018 Southeastern University volleyball team. This will be Coach Kaitlin’s 5thyear coaching club volleyball, previously coaching for clubs run by the head coaches of the University of South Florida and Florida Southern College. This will be Coach Kaitlin’s fourth season with Ignite and is married to her husband Caleb with a precious son Luke! In addition to coaching, Kaitlin is a 5th grade teacher at Goodwin Frazier Elementary.
ASHLEY BUTCHER - ASSISTANT COACH

. Ashley learned what her true passion was from an early age. She played volleyball all of her childhood years which included once club volleyball in middle and high school for Alamo and Strikers. Ashley pursued her dream of becoming an elementary teacher after graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2012. She has always loved working with kids and helping them grow to become responsible humans. Although teaching her students is enjoyable, she couldn’t help but remember her first love of volleyball and decided to become a coach in 2017. She wants to be a positive role model that students and athletes can trust and learn from. She is super excited about her fourth year with Ignite!
Cayla Kohnert - BLAZE HEAD COACH & ASSISTANT COACH
Cayla Kohnert was born and raised in McAllen, Texas where she attended and played volleyball at McAllen High School, as well as Valley Sting Volleyball Club. Cayla is currently a Financial Crimes Analyst at EY while working on her MS in Financial Crimes Investigations through the University of New Haven.
Cayla began coaching her junior year of high school along side her dad coaching 12s and 16s, as well as many private lessons, camps, and clinics. She spent 3 seasons at Corpus Christi Force Volleyball throughout college where she was an assistant coach for the 17s, 12s, and 13s. This is Cayla’s third year with Ignite and she is so excited to be returning! |
HAYLEY MELONE - DIRECTOR OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Hayley Melone is currently a 2nd year teacher at Canyon Lake High School where she is an assistant volleyball, basketball and track coach. She graduated from Texas State University in 2019 with a Major in Exercise Sports Science and a Minor in Special Education. She attended Sam Houston State University where she was the President of the Sam Houston Volleyball Club for 2 years and took the first teams to NCVF Nationals in Kansas City and Louisville. She attended Canyon Lake High School where she was the starting Libero for 3 years breaking 2 school records. This is Hayley Melone’s 5th season with Ignite and she is so excited to be back!

ASHLEY MAHAN - Blaze head coach
Ashley was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Her love for volleyball started in her very first year playing club volleyball at 12 years old. Ashley attended and played volleyball at San Antonio Christian School and her senior year received an athletic scholarship from Ranger Junior College, where she played for 2 years. After graduating with an associate’s degree, Ashley transferred to Tarleton State University. She graduated in 2019 with a BS in Kinesiology. Shortly after graduating Mahan became the assistant volleyball coach at Ranger College, where she helped coach two great seasons. In May 2021, she received her master’s degree in Kinesiology. This will be Ashley's second season coaching at Ignite and she is so excited for the season!

JORDAN MAHAN - ASSISTANT COACH
Jordan was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Not only has she played volleyball for over 12 years, but she also grew up around the sport with coaches for parents. Jordan got involved playing club at the earliest age she could and two of her years in club were spent playing for Ignite. During my high school years playing for San Antonio Christian School, Jordan was able to participate in two state tournaments for TAPPS 5A volleyball. She graduated from SACS in 2019 and continued on to play volleyball for Ranger College. During Jordan's two years at Ranger she made second team all-conference, All-Conference Tournament Team, and All-Academic Team. After graduating from Ranger College with her associates degree in science, she transferred to Texas State University to continue her education.
Coaching has always been a dream of Jordan's that developed as she grew up watching her parents coach. Jordan is super excited for this season and returning to her Ignite roots! |
ALyssa Koehl - Flame Coach
Alyssa grew up in New Braunfels, Texas and played volleyball at Canyon High School. During the 2020 season her high school team advanced to the Regional Finals. In 2021, they played at the state tournament where they finished 3rd for 5A schools in Texas. Alyssa also played club volleyball at Ignite Volleyball Club for 8 seasons. Following her high school graduation in 2022, she is continuing her volleyball career playing collegiate volleyball at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. This will be her first season as a head coach, but Alyssa has served as an assistant to the 11s team at Ignite for 3 seasons alongside her mother Michelle Koehl, who has been a coach for over 20 years. Throughout her high school years, Alyssa also enjoyed helping out at various Ignite and Canyon volleyball clinics.

LOGAN NEASE - ASSISTANT COACH
Logan grew up in Canyon Lake, Texas, where she found her love of the game when she was 12 years old. Throughout her childhood years, she played competitively with Canyon Lake Volleyball Club and attended and played at at Canyon Lake High School. Throughout her years, she was a starting setter and outside hitter.
Logan currently enjoys playing the sport leisurely whenever she can, sharing her knowledge with others, and helping them develop their skills in the sport. This will be Logan's first season at Ignite and she is super excited to be here! |
ALICIA VIRTHE - ASSISTANT COACH
Alicia played club volleyball for 8 years at Orlando Tampa Volleyball Academy and Oveido Volleyball Academy, where she won AAU Nationals her 13’s year and continued to place at various national tournaments. In high school, Alicia was named all-metro conference player of the year. She led the district in kills and was in the top 5 for blocks. Alicia now plays college volleyball at St. Mary’s University. In her first college match against Lubbock Christian University, she scored 25 kills. Alicia has a sister who plays volleyball at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. This is Alicia’s first season coaching at Ignite.

EVETTA SOMA - BLAZE HEAD COACH
Evetta went to Manvel High School where she graduated in 2017. She helped the Mavericks to a Bi-District and Area Championships on their way to a Regional semifinal appearance as a senior captain. Evetta received an All-District 23-5A honorable mention as a senior, going on to play volleyball at Southern Nazarene University. Evetta finished her collegiate career in 2020 and went on get her masters as a graduate assistant coach for the Hardin-Simmons Cowgirls. Between that and coaching club in Abilene Texas, she graduated with an MBA in Spring 2022. She currently works for Still Water Camps as their Director of Marketing!

Chris Rogers - Assistant coach
Chris is in his 10th year of coaching, having worked with athletes spanning from the elementary to collegiate level. He has coached volleyball for San Antonio Lutheran HS, for Still Water Sports Camp, and has trained with members of beach volleyball organizations in San Antonio. As a former college basketball coach and player, Chris has an understanding for the expectations of high level athletes, and is looking forward to being a part of Ignite to help our players work to meet their goals. He is married to his lovely wife Kalynne Rogers, and will be coaching 13 Blaze alongside her. Chris is currently finishing a B.A. at Texas State University while student teaching at Canyon High School.

TYLER GRONA - ASSISTANT COACH
Tyler grew up in Wichita Falls, TX and now lives in Bulverde with her husband and two dogs. She played volleyball all of her childhood years including club volleyball from middle school through high school as well as lettering 3 years in high school. Throughout her years, she was a starting libero/defensive specialist. Professionally, Tyler is a full-time dental hygienist. She is passionate about helping players love the game of volleyball and understand the importance of teamwork and fundamentals. This is Tyler's first year coaching with Ignite and she is so excited for the season!
